On Sunday, March 15, Rosario musician Fito Páez will give a free concert in front of the National Monument to the Flag, in Rosario, in an event that will bring together local artists and is expected to draw a crowd for one of the city's most important cultural celebrations of the year.
In the city where he was born, the artist will offer a special show following his performances on international stages, with a musical journey through different stages of his career and his most iconic songs.
The concert will also have strong symbolic value, as Páez will not receive a fee for his performance, as a gesture of gratitude to Rosario.
“Fito, on his birthday, is giving a gift to the city. This is a possible moment to do it: after a very painful time, Rosario can once again receive massive shows with neighbors enjoying public space,” he expressed.
According to the Argentine News Agency, the event will begin at 6:00 PM with the opening act by Luisina Cali. “We recommend that everyone arrive on time,” he indicated.
Valentini also highlighted the musician's gesture within the framework of the so-called “Páez Week.”
“Fito seems very happy with what is happening in the city, he is very happy with this show. The event's setup will be financed by sponsors and private companies that support the initiative,” he added.
The municipal Secretary of Culture and Education, Federico Valentini, noted that the artist is enthusiastically anticipating the show and recommended arriving in advance.
At 6:45 PM, the Rosario band Killer Burritos will perform, and at 7:45 PM, Fito Páez's main show is scheduled to begin.
During the event, there will be restrooms, ambulances, medical posts, and hydration points for the public, as well as an information point to assist attendees with any eventuality.
The Municipality of Rosario has also arranged a special traffic and control operation in the vicinity of the National Monument to the Flag, where there will be vehicle closures and detours.
